Great Swimming Opportunity for Both First-time and Experienced Open Water Swimmers

There will be on-site registration in 2024.

The Committee for the Great Salt Pond’s eighth annual swim, known as The Great Salt Pond Swim 9–2024.

This will be a one (1) mile swim limited to 150 individuals, starting at Andy’s Way Beach, swimming out toward Beane Point, and returning to Andy’s Way Beach.

The swimmer registration fee for the event is $60.00. Registration is now open. This is a great opportunity for first-time open water swimmers. The swim course is in a protected area with not much chop. In addition, the swim will take place along a straight line, marked by buoys.

This swim will be an annual fundraiser, serving to support our efforts to protect The Great Salt Pond, and provide funds for additional water testing in the recreational swim areas.

Youth Great Salt Pond Swim

The Committee for the Great Salt Pond would like to announce our first youth swim, The Great Salt Pond Youth Swim – 2024 on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 9:00 am and it will be part of the Great Salt Pond Swim – 9 event. This will be a (1/4) quarter mile swim (not a race – no timing chips), ages 8–17, starting at Andy’s Way Beach, swimming out toward Beane Point, and returning to Andy’s Way Beach.

The swimmer registration fee for this event is $30.00, and on-line registration will open on January 1, 2024 and close on July 26, 2024, 1:00 pm. The link for on-line registration is to the right, and you can also go to Active.com to register. On-site registration will be available the morning of the swim, July 27th, until 8:15 am. The swim course is in a protected area with not much chop. In addition, the swim will take place along a straight line, marked by buoys. This swim event is our annual fundraiser, serving to support our efforts to protect The Great Salt Pond, and provide funds for additional water testing in the recreational swim areas.
